THREE SIMPLE STEPS

Turn your captures into a guide.

  1. Gather your images.

Select screenshots for your process. If needed, annotate important details in the editor so that each step has a clear visual reference.

  2. Put steps in order.

Arrange the images and add captions. Describe what to do in each step and what the result should look like.

  3. Export your guide.

Check the PDF preview and export an A4 PDF. Alternatively, create a Markdown folder with its images or save an editable project.

Explain once. Follow at your own pace.

A team setup, a recurring support question or a short training session: document the process so that others can work through it in their own time. A screenshot for each important action connects a setting with its expected result.

Point an arrow at the relevant control and add a short instruction beneath the image. If the sequence changes, rearrange the steps and update the descriptions.

A document for the place you work.

An A4 PDF brings your guide together in a single document. Use the preview to check images, captions and page layout before exporting. This works well when you want to hand over a guide as a file.

Markdown output gives you text and images in a folder for further editing. Include the image files when sharing it and preserve their relationship to the Markdown document. For future changes in Snaprivo, you can also export an editable .snaprivoguide project.

Do I need to take every screenshot again?

You can assemble several existing screenshots into a guide. Select the relevant images, arrange them and add descriptions.

Can I update the guide later?

Yes. Editable guide projects can be continued and exported as .snaprivoguide files. PDF and Markdown are output formats for sharing or further editing elsewhere.

What should I check before sharing?

Review the order, descriptions and visible image content. If screenshots contain sensitive details, check their covers. Editable project archives may include original content; share the reviewed output.
